Observing for hours with absolute concentration, immersing yourself in eternal moments, discovering the finest details – this is what the BTX has to offer, combining the benefits of a spotting scope and binoculars. We are presenting the most revolutionary viewing experience ever. The unique binocular system uses the visual power of both eyes and enables observers to overcome limitations and become one with their environment.

The joy of observing nature enriches our life and allows us to discover its wonders from a new perspective every time. Immersing yourself deeply in the scenery, seeing things that have remained hidden until now, perceiving the finest details that tell the biggest stories. Observing for hours without losing concentration, forgetting the world around you, experiencing the preciousness of the moment – this is what the BTX was designed for. The BTX is compatible with all objective modules in the ATX/STX family, and a suite of perfectly adapted accessories enhances the user experience. This range of options makes the BTX an ideal companion for anyone who would like to experience the beauty of nature in brilliant quality and with maximum comfort and intensity without getting tired.

Getting closer

The crystal clear SWAROVISION technology reproduces even the smallest details with color fidelity and razor-sharpness right to the edge of the field of view. The BTX has a 30x or 35x magnification, according to the objective module chosen. This magnification can be quickly and easily increased to 50x or 60x by using the ME 1.7x magnification extender, available as an optional accessory. The proprietary bayonet system allows the extender to be mounted to any of the objective and eyepiece modules in the ATX/STX/BTX family.

Natural viewing comfort

Particular priority was placed on maximizing viewing comfort. Since the binocular system reflects natural vision, the image seems extraordinarily vivid. Viewing with both eyes also means avoiding strenuous squinting. The angled view helps to ensure maximum comfort when observing for long periods of time. The innovative, smoothly adjustable forehead rest, which can be fully retracted if desired, makes it more relaxing when exploring. An aiming aid is integrated above the right eyepiece and the birder only needs to glance up to find the target quickly.

Maximum stability in any situation

The new BR balance rail and PTH professional tripod head are optional accessories that help to ensure the whole system is extremely stable. The rail can be adjusted separately to perfectly balance the BTX. With its integrated fluid system, the tripod head allows the spotting scope to move evenly and smoothly during observation. When adjusted correctly, it keeps the whole spotting scope reliably stable even when it is not fixed.

The BTX binocular spotting scope will be available from May 2017.

Dear Joe, thanks for your comment. Our spotting scopes stand out for their optical performance. With today’s state of the art a variable magnification for the BTX would have meant too big trade-offs. Best regards, the SWAROVSKI OPTIK Social Media Team

Why did Swarovski develope something that is as cutting no edge as the BTX but to use it, it disableds a desired function of the ATX or STX? Why not design the BTX so the variable power can still be used? I have posted this twice but is gets removed.

Why does the BTX eyepiece disable the variable power function of ATX or STX scope? To me that is a major detriment.
